This is a beautiful faucet and feels very well built. However, we've recently noticed a problem. I came into the bathroom one day and found a lot of water dripping out of the cabinet and onto the floor. After mopping up and emptying the cabinet I spent a long time trying to figure out what was leaking. I couldn't find anything that would result in a leak so big. It turns out that when our 5 year old was washing her hands she was cupping them right underneath the spout. Not right up against the spout, but close enough that the end of the spout was in the water in her hands. This was causing water to travel back up the spout and pour out inside the cabinet. If you look at the end of the spout you can see that around the aerator it is completely open. This is just dead space that travels back into the faucet and is open to the cabinet, so any water that travels up there will pour out into the cabinet. If you don't put your hands near the end of the spout it is not a problem, so I don't think this will be an issue for most adults. However, kids are not always so careful. We have now made it clear to our 5 year old that she can't put her hands up close to the faucet, but there will be other young kids visiting frequently that may not be so careful. I was surprised how easy it was to make a huge amount of water travel back up and into the cabinet when I finally figured out what was going on and tested it myself. At the moment I'm thinking of putting a bunch of silicone around the aerator so water can't travel back up the spout, as we really like the faucet other than this issue.
