These are advertised as polished Chrome. I am not sure what the surface is, but it started rusting in a couple of weeks after we placed them on our sink. Very disappointing considering how expensive they were. Given the high price, we were expecting a high quality product that would last. Not even close. Fortunately, Amazon accepted the return.
